Welcome to Encountering Urbanization, a working group that explores the experience of urbanization in the world’s cities. As the world becomes more urbanized cities have emerged as fields of change as planners and policymakers seek innovative solutions for shaping rapid urbanization.
This working group takes a hard look at not only tragic circumstances but also the champions of change, the technical solutions, and the empowerment of local voices. It’s an exercise that will bring together policymakers, planners, artists, advocates and academics to share how they experience these dynamic places, diagnose the problems, and implement solutions.
Join us as we share our encounters with urbanization through a working series of events. Encountering Urbanization is a working student group at the Wagner School of Public Policy at New York University, studying urban planning, public policy and international development
